UNICRYL suture is a synthetic absorbable sterile surgical suture composed of a homopolymer of glycolide.
UNICRYL sutures are dyed with D & C Violet#2.
UNICRYL is available in range of gauge sizes and lengths, non-needled or attached to stainless steel needles of varying types and sizes.
Minimal tissue reaction.
Easy passage through tissue.
Uses-UNICRYL sutures are intended for use where an absorbable suture or ligature is indicated.
Sterilised by Ethylene Oxide.
Coating -Polyglycolic acid is a homopolymer of glycolic acid, which is braided into sutures of various sizes. The braid is coated with a mixture of Calcium Stearate and Poly-D-Lactic acid and N-e-lauroyl-L-lysine.
UNICRYL sutures are guaranteed to meet the requirements of the British Pharmacopoeia (B.P.), the European Pharmacopoeia(Ph.Eur.), and the United States Pharmacopoeia(U.S.P.).
